The inaugural African Green Industries Summit (AGIS) 2026 was officially launched in Windhoek today, commencing the countdown to the summit taking place from 9-10 September 2026 in Swakopmund, Namibia. Hosted by NEA Consulting under the theme, “Powering African Industries for Sustainable Development,” the summit will bring together governments, investors, project developers, financial institutions and technology leaders to advance green industrial development across Africa.

It is often easier to retain an existing investor than to attract a new one. This is not simply a theoretical proposition. Evidence from GIZ shows that it can take at least three years for a foreign investor to reach a final investment decision. By that stage, considerable time, capital and strategic effort have already been committed.
