Proposition

Sector: Technology

Sub-Sector: Data Centers, Cloud Computing, Disaster Recovery

Abstract

Namibia's digital landscape is evolving rapidly, driven by increasing internet penetration, cloud adoption and growing reliance on data-driven decision-making across industries. However, the country faces a critical challenge in ensuring data resilience and business continuity in the face of natural disasters, cyber threats and infrastructure failures. This project seeks to address these challenges by developing an interconnected disaster
recovery (DR) site, integrating cloud storage and data center capabilities to safeguard business operations and critical data. The project aims to establish secure, scalable and a geographically diverse DR site in Namibia, providing businesses, government agencies and essential service providers with high-availability infrastructure. The DR facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art cybersecurity measures, backup power solutions and high-speed connectivity to ensure minimal downtime and robust data protection.

Value Proposition

The Namibian market is set to benefit from a project that aims to enhance business continuity, data security, digital resilience, economic growth and digital transformation. The project will establish secure disaster recovery sites, ensuring rapid recovery from system failures, cyber incidents, or natural disasters, reducing operational downtime and financial losses.

The facilities will be equipped with advanced cybersecurity measures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical data while complying with international data protection standards. This will enable Namibian businesses to expand into global markets and establish trust with customers and regulatory bodies.
