Attracting investment is only meaningful when investor interest translates into projects on the ground, jobs, business opportunities and broader economic benefits for Namibia. This is where the NIPDB’s Investment Services play an important role. Beyond promoting Namibia as an investment destination, the NIPDB works with investors to move projects from initial enquiry and assessment towards establishment, implementation and expansion.

When small businesses have access to the right tools, they gain more than equipment, they gain the ability to grow, create jobs and strengthen local economies. This is the impact of the NIPDB - Rani Group MSME Equipment Support Grant Programme, which is empowering entrepreneurs across Namibia with practical support to unlock their business potential.

The NIPDB held its Annual General Meeting in Windhoek, at which the FY2025/26 Annual Report was approved by the Honourable Jenelly Matundu, the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade. For the fourth consecutive year, the NIPDB recorded a clean audit, reflecting prudent management of public resources allocated to the institution. Namibia has taken another important step towards creating a more predictable and enabling environment for investors with the introduction of the five-year Employment Permit to Conduct a Business, effective 1 September 2026. The permit provides qualifying investors with greater certainty and continuity to establish, operate and grow their businesses in Namibia, reinforcing national efforts to improve the investor experience and ease of doing business.
