On behalf of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), the Board of Directors hereby bids farewell to our founding Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nangula Nelulu Uaandja who will be stepping down on 31 December 2025. Dr. Uaandja has led the NIPDB throughout its formative years, leaving behind an impactful tenure characterised by exceptional vision casting, purposeful leadership and agile execution of the institution’s mandate.

Namibia has officially established a central coordinating body to promote the country as a globally competitive destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).  This follows the official launch of the Namibia Convention Bureau (NCB) in Windhoek today, officiated by Hon. Indileni Daniel, Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism. 

On 1 December 2025, Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, officially commissioned three Presidential National Task Forces on Economic Recovery, Health, and Housing and Land. This fulfills a key commitment made during the inaugural Namibia Public-Private Forum (NamPPF) held in October 2025 which convened nearly 500 public and private sector leaders, laid the groundwork for these task forces through sector-specific policy proposals.

The inaugural Namibia Public-Private Forum (NamPPF) was held last week, convening close to 500 delegates from both the public and private sectors for a high-level, solution-oriented dialogue. Hosted under the theme “Public-Private Dialogue to Drive Decent and Sustainable Job Creation: Enhancing Namibia’s Competitiveness, the session was chaired by Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia.

Namibia has done it again! The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) has announced that the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) has been selected as the Winner in the WAIPA Investment Excellence Awards 2025, under the Innovative Investment Promotion Campaign category. 

Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, the President of the Republic of Namibia, will chair the inaugural Namibia Public-Private Forum (NamPPF) on 23 - 24 October 2025. The Forum will bring together key government institutions and leading private sector associations for a high-level, solution-oriented dialogue.

The Government of Namibia has identified the Culture and Creative Industries as a priority sector for development, with the potential to drive economic growth and employment creation. Central to this is positioning Namibia as a leading creative hub in Africa, an authentic destination where local, African and global stories come to life. This vision will be realised through the development of the Namibia Film and Creative City.

Algiers, Algeria - Namibia kicked off participation at the Intra Africa Trade Fair (IATF) 2025, being hosted by the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, in Algiers.  The event is  organised by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the African Union (AU) Commission and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat.  

Namibia has again punched above her weight and emerged as  first in Africa and second overall in the 2025 reading of the Greenfield FDI Performance Index, FDI Intelligence announced this morning.
